What we do / Basic Needs

Easy Access to Food & Public Benefits

Our Family Resource Center knows that people in our community struggle to put food on their families' table and make ends meet.

We work with these families to provide food weekly and to link them to a list of partners who can meet their families’ unique needs so that can feel secure in their ability to provide for their children.

We schedule one-on-one appointments for you to meet with our Family Advocate at a time that works for you and you receive a follow-up call after each session. In these sessions, we can help with applications for CalFresh, Medi-Cal, and other county services. Also, La Familia works to create other ways to support you throughout the year, like extra cash-assistance grants, backpack events, and Christmas toy distributions.
