Founded in 1978, Hijos Del Sol began as a youth initiative and safe space for youth to come together and address issues affecting young adults. HDS provides skill-building activities to raise community awareness of self, family, and school success. HDS follows a training model of peer-to-peer education and is focused on offering youth an opportunity to become positive role models through service learning and motivate positive behavioral changes in students.
