La Familia Receives Grant from Eden Health District to Develop Primary Healthcare Clinic in Hayward for Unsheltered and Underserved Community Members HAYWARD, Calif. – La Familia is launching a multi-phase project to establish a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-A-Like (FQHC-LAL) to provide primary and behavioral health care. La Familia Has 2,000 Pfizer Vaccines Available for Alameda County – Cherryland Clinic April 27-April 30 La Familia has brought back a COVID-19 vaccine clinic to our Cherryland facility at 20095 Mission Blvd. in Hayward. This clinic is FREE and open to all community members who work or live in Alameda County ages 16 and older. Any eligible recipient under 16yrs must bring a consenting adult in order to be vaccinated. Marco A. Lozano, Psy.D. 07/28/1970 – 07/05/2018 On Friday, September 21, 2018, La Familia hosted a Celebration of Life Service to honor the life of our fellow colleague and friend, Dr. Marco A. Lozano. La Familia staff, former staff, clients, and members of the community came together to share stories and create an altar in honor of Dr. Lozano. Dr. Lozano joined La Familia’s Outpatient Program in 2005 as a postdoctoral intern and became a staff therapist upon completion of his postdoctoral hours. La Familia’s Cultura y Bienestar (CyB) and Youth and Family Opportunity (YFO) programs have been providing an annual Summer Camp for youth ages 5-10 years, since 2011. This was created in order to ensure that all children had a safe place to do safe educationally interactive activities during some of their summer weeks while school was out.
